William Patrick King, age 82 of Oakbrook Terrace, IL. Beloved husband of Christine King, nee Slowik; loving father of Steven (Ellen) King, and Keeley (Joseph) Dooley; devoted grandfather of Alexandra King, and Claryce, Caroline, and Camryn Dooley; cherished son of the late Patrick F. King, and the late Mary King, nee Galvin; fond brother of Margaret (Jim) Sunich, Rita (the late John) Serafini, Joan (the late Joe Fuentes and the late Tom) Gall, Kevin King, James King, the late Marilyn (the late Conrad) Neilsen, the late Patricia (the late George) Fischer, the late Martin Sexton Jr., and the late Patrick (Susan) King; cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews; relative and friend to many.
Avid 16" softball player, coach, manager, sponsor, organizer, and inductee in the 16" Softball Hall of Fame. He had a long and successful career in the beverage industry, becoming VP of Sales for Euclid Beverage, and a liaison for Schamberger Bros.
Visitation Monday, March 24, 3-8 PM at Steuerle Chapel, 350 S. Ardmore Ave. Villa Park, 60181. Prayers Tuesday, 9:15 AM from the funeral home to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 330 N. Westmore Ave. Villa Park, IL 60181, Mass at 10:15 AM; Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers; church masses, donation to a charity of your choice, or memorials to the 16 inch softball hall of fame are appreciated.

Played softball for Billy in late 60's and 70's. Won the state championship IPANDR.in1968. Billy is one of the more memorable people I know. R.I. P.

Mr King was a great man! He always put a smile on my face when he shouted "Hi Mayor". He was a straight shooter when we talked about anything and that's what I loved about him. I am so grateful that god placed me here here in Oakbrook Terrace and close to the King family. It will be difficult not seeing him outside anymore, but his memory will always be here in my heart. I pray that I get the chance to talk with him again when I leave this earth. I hope he is at the gates of heaven waiting for me to show me around and pick up where we left off.
