Dear Cousins Noreen, Billie, Patti, Michael, and John,
I offer my condolences to you and your families and share in your sorrow. Your Father was my favorite uncle. I loved to listen to him tell stories about his service in World War II and about his years teaching school in the inner city. I still remember the night he was shot in the line of duty when the squad car came to the house on Adams Street to take your Mother to the hospital to be with him. Your Father was brave, intelligent, loving and kind. But most of all, he was a real hero.

I am sorry to hear about Uncle Bud. My mom is actually here in Indiana with me as I write this. Please accept my condolences. He was a lucky man to live 88 years, with most of that time living on his own.
