William Jackson BrownFuneral services for William Jackson Brown, 73, of Cullman will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Valley Springs Baptist Church, Bros. Jeff Steele and Junior Garmon officiating, with interment in Valley Springs Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church.Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Mr. Brown died Monday, May 25, at Hunstville Hospital as the result of an automobile accident with his wife, Liliana Brown (inset). He was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Cullman to Carl and Myrtle Milligan Brown. He was a mechanic with the U.S. Army and was retired from Americold.He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of over 48 years, Liliana Brown; a brother, M.D. "Shorty" Brown; and a sister, Diane Peterson.Survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Jeff) Yarbrough; a son, Michael (Crystal) Brown; four grandchildren, Sabrina Yarbrough, Briana Yarbrough, Kimberly Brown and Austin Brown; a brother, Charles Brown; and a sister, Margaret Moon.Pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Mike Brown, Mitch Baker, Daron Welch, Billy Smith and Ryan Woodard.Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Jack you are at peace my friend and fellow Vietnam Veteran. You are with Liliana now in Heaven. I'm going to miss you both so very much. May God Bless and keep you both until we meet again. I'm sure God will be watching over Patricia and Michael and their families to help them through.

We in Florida are so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what you all are going through right now. Just know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Jack was a wonderful man and will be missed by all family and friends alike.
