Wilfred Schmaltz Obituary

Schmaltz, Wilfred E. age 80, late of the East Side. Beloved husband of Josephine (nee Putzell), loving father of Laura (Thomas) Ratkovic of Arlington Heights, IL, cherished grandfather to his most beloved and devoted grandchildren, Marc Ratkovic of Brooklyn, New York, Paul Ratkovic of Portland, Oregon and Peter Ratkovic of Arlington Heights, IL, dearest brother of Elaine Garlichs and Charlotte (Rick) Sepanik, fond cousin of Robert (Phyllis) Mantai, uncle of many nieces and nephews. Merchant Marine during WWII. Retired operating engineer Local #150. Wilfred's wish was to donate his remains to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Heart Association in Wilfred Schmaltz's name would be appreciated. Arrangements by: Elmwood Chapel, 773-731-2749.

My thoughts and prayers go out to this loving family on their recent loss of such a wonderful person. What can you say about Grandpa Wil?? The list is enless . .

I will be forever thankful that I was lucky enough to be a part of his life.
