Rolfe & Shanda Jaremus
January 19, 2005
Shanda and I met while working for Warren at the CBI Purchasing Department in 1974. I had just graduated from Northwestern Univ. and this was my first job out of school. I was suppose to go into personnel, but Warren asked me if I could work in Purchasing for a while. He hired my wife "on the spot" in early '74. We have many happy memories of Warren. He was always at the office before anyone and there till late. He was always there to listen to our ideas and give encouragement. He had a great sense of humor, and told some great stories.
As a young know-it-all I suggested to Warren that we look into computerizing the Purchasing dept. He thought it was a good idea and to my surprise before too long we were talking to the corporate guys. For the next 3 years I worked as an onsite analyst while the new computer system was being built. That was the beginning of my career in Information Technology. When I got transferred up to corporate headquarters in '77 my signficant other - Shanda decided to go with me. When she told Warren she was leaving, he found her a job at corporate along with me. There are few people that I can say this about, but Warren was a saint. He was the nicest boss I ever had.
As an athlete, I remember Warren telling me about his high school quarterback grandson. He was so proud of Mike.
You are all blessed to have had him as a father, grandfather or great grandfather. Best wishes to the family.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies regarding the death of Warren & Arlene Thompson. I was a very close friend of their deceased daughter Barbara in high school and spent many days at the Thompson residence. They were a wonderful family. I had stopped not too long ago to visit with the Thompsons and met their grandaughter Suzie who was very special. She invited me and several other friends to her home to meet with her family. She was just as sweet as her mom. I have not seen Jayne or Carol in many years but my memory of them was very pleasant. I am sure that Barbara and her parents are all happy together in the house of the Lord forever. God Bless you all.
