Wanda Stanek Obituary
Wanda Stanek, nee Szarley, longtime resident of Chicago Clearing Community, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Roy Stanek. Loving mother of Alan Stanek (Jacque Ortegel), Lynn (Tim) Andersen, Lori Vacchiano, Gary (Kimbra) Stanek, and the late Luci (Ron) Palumbo. Wonderful grandmother of Kristy, Kelly, Kyle, Melissa, Ashley, Brittany, Spencer, Erik, Giana and Dominic. Dear great grandmother of 10. Sister of Helen Boettger, preceded in death by her 9 brothers and sisters. Wanda will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation is Monday, from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at 11:30 AM, at Two Holy Martyrs Parish St. Symphorosa Church. Wanda will be laid to rest next to her husband at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, please remember Wanda with memorial donations to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Squad https://abrahamlincolnmemorialsquad.org/ Arrangements entrusted to Foran Funeral Home.
