A caring, loving, giving man has left us. As a ten-year old on the SNF Chicago Juniors basketball team of 1952, coached by Wally, as a teenager, as an adult and now entering the stari-sphere, I always have had a great respect and admiration for Wally. We have lost a wonderful man.

To the Vukovich Family,
It is with sad hearts that we learned of your father's passing. We are in Florida for the winter and could not come to say our goodbyes.
Memory eternal.

Dear Tom, Joanne and Family,
Please accept my deepest and most respectful sympathy for the passing of your father. The diaspora Serbs have lost a great and beloved example of christian living, and although known far and wide, I always felt like "family" whenever I spoke with him. You have an honorable legacy in your parents, and your adult lives show for the kind and wonderful upbringing you had. Wally will forever be remembered in our hearts.

Please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of your Dad and Deda, +Wally. Wally was a pillar in the Serbian community of Holy Resurrection and throughout the U.S. and Canada he will be remembered for his dedication and love for our Serbian Orthodox Church and all of its organizations. He served our Serbian Singing Federation as President and was one of the most devoted participants of SNF basketball tournaments. Walter was a great and decent man who loved his Serbian heritage. He demonstrated that love through the inordinate amount of energy he contributed to American Serbian organizations such as the Serbian Singing Federation. As a past president of the SSF he will be remembered for his contributions and the respect, assistance and kindness given to our founder, Vlajko Lugonja.
