Mitchell, Walter "Bud" WWII Army Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, beloved husband of the late Sabina Evelyn (nee Fennessy), loving father of the late Robert Mitchell, cherished father-in-law of Maureen (Paul) Post, devoted grandfather of Kelly (Phillip) Sader, Kevin (Stephanie) Mitchell, Kerry Mitchell and Jessica (Carlos) Perlaza, dearest great-grandfather of Crew, Lily, Chloe and Finley Sader, Megan, Carlie, Kailyn, Eileen Mitchell, Kyle Bock and Justin Mitchell, devoted brother of the late Helen Panko, Gertrude Holmes and Virginia Herling, proud uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday 3 to 9 PM. Funeral Saturday 10:00 AM from Lawn Funeral Home 7732 W. 159th St. Orland Park, IL 60462 to St. Linus Church. Mass 11:00 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. I am so sorry. Bud was a kind, great man. He was the best boss I have ever had. I respected and admired him. My deepest sympathy for the family. May God be with you as you grieve the loss of this wonderful man.

My sympathy goes out to all of you. I know how close you were to grandpa, he was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. I didn't see him often but when I did he was always so gracious and fun to be with. As hard as it is right now know that he is in a better place and happy. He is with Sabina and Bob now. I know when he lost them part of himself went with them, now they are all together in peace, without pain. Bud lived a long, healthy and happy life and for that we should all be thankful.. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
