Vivian Smith Obituary

Smith, Vivian C. (nee Colbert), 86, of Chicago, passed away July 22, 2004, after a short illness. Born in Longview, Texas on April 23, 1918. A retired employee of the Federal Government. She now joins her parents, Joseph and Bertha (nee Fowler) Colbert; sister, Bernice (nee Colbert) Samuels and nephew, William H. Samuels, at peace. Loving mother of Kenneth Smith Jr., dear aunt to Diane (nee Samuels) Brooks, Barbara Samuels, Gregory Samuels Sr., Cheryl Samuels and Dwight Samuels. In addition she leaves many grandnieces, grandnephews and dear friends. Visitation 9:30 a.m. Funeral 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, July 29th, at St. Philip Lutheran Church, 6232 S. Eberhart, Chicago, IL. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Arrangements by: Griffin Funeral Home, 312-842-3232.
