Virginia Fitzgerald Obituary

Fitzgerald, Virginia Helen (nee LaVigne) Was born in Milwaukee, WI, February 3, 1924 to William and Mary (Henneberry) LaVigne. Virginia married John Fitzgerald in June 1946. She worked for Commonwealth Edison and the Interstate Smelting Company on Chicago's Southeast side for over 30 years. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers, James, Robert and William LaVigne; and sister, Bernice Haase. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Patricia Yelmini; son-in-law, Vincent Yelmini; her sister, Laverne Blumka; grandchildren, Lisa Yelmini-Metz (Robert), Laura Yelmini (Christopher Sporer), and seven great-grandchildren, Anthony Metz, Marissa Metz, Franchesca Metz, Gabriella Metz, Ralston Sporer, Tallulah Sporer, Bernard Sporer and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Sacred Heart Fun Club. Visitation Monday 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 S. Southwest Hwy. (7700W) Palos Hills.
