To our grandmother's memory and to her surviving children, her brother, and her other 8 grandchildren (total 9): Oma is with her parents, Grandpa (her husband), and her oldest daughter, Rubini, now and she is at peace. She touched so many lives and my family was lucky to have her in our lives for so long. Thanks to the Field Museum for all they did for her! She really enjoyed her time there. We are so glad we were able to visit the museum with Oma. Thanks to the friends and extended family that were able to come to the services. One of Violet's grandaughters; Constance and my family.

On behalf of the Education Department volunteers and staff at Field Museum, we send our sympathy to the family of Violet Diacou. Violet was a great volunteer who brought so much knowledge and friendly assistance to visitors in the Geology halls. She was a wonderful friend to so many volunteers and staff. We all enjoyed having lunch with Violet. We have fond memories of her.
