Viola "Fino" Melendez (nee Raya), age 59. Late of the East Side, formerly of South Deering. Passed away July 11, 2022. Beloved wife of the late John Melendez. Loving mother of Fabian Melendez and the late Zenida Melendez. Dear daughter of Angela (nee Chico) and the late Fabian "Pete" Raya. Dearest sister of Zenida (Carlos) Castillo, Yvonne (Thomas) Oehman, and Michelle (Jose) Trevino. Fond aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews. Viola was 311 Supervisor for the Department of OEMC, City of Chicago. Visitation Sunday, July 17, 2022, 2-8 pm. Funeral Services Monday, July 18, 2022, at 9:15 am from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S.
