Vincent Montelpasse Obituary

Montelpasse Sr., Vincent "Jim" A. 90, died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at his home. The Chicago native moved to Collins, GA in 1990 and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II. Vincent retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier and was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Metter, GA. He was a family man who enjoyed his retirement. Survivors are his wife, Susan Sviatko Montelpasse of Collins, GA, daughters, Vivian M. (Joseph) Jezierski of Crestwood, IL and Valerie A. (Gordon "Sam") Key of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, four sons, Vincent A. (Clara) Montelpasse Jr., of Tinley Park, IL, Victor A. (Deborah) Montelpasse of Kankakee, IL, Verne A. (Nancy) Montelpasse of Orland Hills, IL, and Van A. Montelpasse of Collins, GA, 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, January 23, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Metter, GA. A cremain burial will take place at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to the Ogeechee Area Hospice, POB 531, Statesboro, GA 30459. Kennedy Funeral Homes Cobbtown Chapel
