I go back a long way knowing Vijay as a class mate in Medical school.. We ended up as a next door neighbour for the past few years in Streeterville. He remained the same soft spoken gentleman as I knew him as a young kid in medical school. He left behind a caring family and lots of good friends. Our prayers will always be there for his soul.. Sheela, Anji, Amit and Aneeta, words cannot express the sadness we feel in Vijay's passing. I wish there was someway to console and ease the pain. My memories are full of wonderful times spent with Vijay. He is the best man I have ever met in my life. By example he taught me to be a better person and to live in his footprint is both an honor and privilege. All of our love goes out to all of you and your entire family. Vijay will not only be remembered but loved forever in the hearts of the Beckmans.

I had the good fortune of doing scientific research with Vijay for many years. I shall always cherish his classy demeanour, profound human empathy, and support which are rare virtues to be found these days. This is a personal loss to me. We pray that his soul remains in bliss eternally in the other world.
