Vernon Nix Obituary
Nix, Vernon Gerald "Jerry" passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010. Beloved husband of Catherine A. Nix; loving father of Thomas G. Nix, Mary Ann Parsons, and Marie A. Westcott; fond brother of Betty Jo Bradley; cherished grandfather of Kimberley Cox, Virginia Parsons; he was preceded in death by his grandson Michael Westcott; loving great grandfather of Jaylyn Westcott, Cassandra Cox and Morgan Parsons. Jerry was a proud WWII US Navy Veteran and a former longtime research chemist for Sherwin Williams. In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed photography and astrology. Services will be private. Cremation Society of Illinois handling arrangements. 708-747-7820.
