Vergil Warren Obituary

Vergil Leon Warren
A memorial service will be held at a later date for Sequim resident Vergil Leon Warren, who died May 15, 2007, at the age of 72 from complications after heart surgery.
He was born in Seldon, KS., to Vergil Sylvester and Eva May Warren.
He graduated from high school in Port Angeles. He married Sonja M. Warren on Oct. 29, 1955. She died Dec. 11, 1989. He married Mary E. Youtchas on Sept. 2, 1995. Employed as a mechanic and in maintenance, he worked for Pac-Car and The Boeing Co. in the greater Seattle area and Murray Motors in Port Angeles. He was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and diving. He was a member of the Port Angeles Mudsharks Diving Group, based in Seattle, and the Sequim Elks Lodge. He was a Lutheran by faith. Vergil was a member of the singles pinochle group in Sequim.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Wendy Warren of Kent; daughter, Karen L. Warren of Seattle; mother-in-law Marion Youtchas of Rochester, N.Y.; brother and sister-in-law Ray Dean and Yolanda Warren of Pueblo, Colo.; sister June Warren of Kansas; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by son Brian Warren in 2002 and brother Jack Warren in 1978.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
American Memorial Funeral at Mount Olivet, Renton, is in charge of arrangements.
