I got to know Vera when I was working on my schools annual charity drive video. Her soft spoken heart and comments she shared with me on camera that day, I will never forget. All at Deerfield High School will never ever forget her and her legacy will live in our hearts for years to come. My condolences go out to her family.

Vera was a loving and giving person. I hope to learn to be as loving and giving as she, keeping her memory alive in how I live my life.

Vera, I will miss you with all my heart. You were not just a sister but a very good friend. Now at peace with God and all you love. I will work to try and be as good a person as you. I will love you always. Mary
