Vasilios Karapas Obituary
Karapas, Vasilios S. "Bill" age 82, died peacefully in Naperville, born on the Island of Crete, Greece, served in the Greek Royal Air Force, during WWII retiring at rank of 1st Lieutenant. Previously married to Chicago resident Francis Pantelis in 1953. Owned and operated auto service stations until his retirement. Survived by his daughter, Eleftheria Terry (Michael) Parafink and his son Sophocles (Elena) Karapas, his grandchildren, Irene and Andrew Karapas, Stefan and Ethan Parafink, also survived by his step-brothers, Ioannis and Demetrios Paterakis, cousin Dr. Regina Karapas Damigos and by many nieces and nephews. Visitation and Funeral will be private and for immediate family only. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Patrick's Residence, 1400 Brookdale Rd., Naperville, IL, 60563. Bill will always be known to me as the greatest mechanic in the world he taught me how to fix and repair an auto and Frances as a mother to two great children, Terry and Sophocles with their beautiful grand children.We will miss you and thanks for the great memories!
