I had the pleasure of meeting Val & Rick through my association with United Cerebral Palsy. She was a warm, kind and compassionate woman whose work for the disabled will live on as her legacy. Her family will be remembered in my thoughts and prayers.

To Rick and the Parrish Family, I am deeply sadden to hear of your loss. Valerie was a wonderful, encouraging woman. I will always remember the first time I met you both during the times I volunteered for the youth summits and at ccdi conferences you both are a great inspiration to people with disabilites. I will always rememer Val's encouraging words and smile. I will keep you all in my prayers.
