Ursel Stern Obituary

Stern, Ursel (nee Stern), 76, of Highland Park, IL, beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Stern, loving mother of Linda (Dick) Mintz, Debbie Stern (Michael Dallek) and Mark (Laura) Stern, proud and loving grandmother of eight grandchildren, Jacob, Brian, David Mintz, Jacob, Aaron, Benjamin Dallek, Jackie and Leah Stern. Ursel was born in Berlin, Germany to Fred and Jenny Stern and immigrated to Chicago in 1941. She was a member of Temple Habonim and past president of its Sisterhood. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PanCAN, JUF, Midwest Palliative and Hospice Center. Funeral Friday, 10 a.m., at Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd., Skokie. 847-679-4740.

I have very fond memories of time spent with your mom and family in my days growing up. I just saw her last December when I was visiting my dad in Florida and she was in terrific shape. My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. May all your special memories help you through.
