Tom Huyck was an excellent and engaging lawyer in the Chicago community. His energies and advice for the US Government in the Attorney General's office under Robert Kennedy, for his community in Hyde Park and greater Chicago, and for his many and admiring clients made all of us lawyers in Chicago proud and thankful that such a good man was in our midst. I know personally how effective he was in serving the Chicago Childrens Choir. I would do well to be as good a lawyer as Tom Hyuck. He and his family are in my thoughts and prayers. Tom Boodell

Tom Huyck was a brilliant newly minted lawyer in The Justice Department in the early 1960s.He had the same kindly smile and his decency permeated everything he did.I only saw him a few times after but e very time I heard about him it confirmed my opinion-He made me proud of him. So sad to read this news. Tom will be missed greatly. Such a kind, smart and civically engaged man. He was a key part of our First Unitarian community. My thoughts are with you, Margaret, and the rest of the family. It seemed to me Tom fought his illness quietly and valiantly true to his nature. Deepest Condolences.
