I appreciate these annual reminders; must call his daughter Tracey today. Wife, Harriett is not doing well ,,, hope others reach out to her as well.

I just learned of your father, grandfather, sibling, or other relative tonight and researched him, finding this brief obituary of a great man. I wanted to say that after discovering his rich history, he was a great man. I pray his name lives on for generations to come.

The Latting family were neighbors when I was growing up in Crestwood IL. I always admired Mr. Latting for having the rodeo and enjoyed watching him exercise the horses in the corral and in the surrounding fields before other houses were built.

Thyrl Latting was a great man and one of my heroes in life. I made my first film about him and his rodeos, and I will never forget his humor and kindness. I think about him often.

Mr. Latting was my division teacher at C.V.S high school in 86. I remember him encouraging our division to go see the rodeo show. I'm glad that I had the opportunity of seeing one of his shows. My prayers are with the family.

My heart felt and deepest condolences to the Latting Family. I will forever remember being placed in Mr Latting's class among many young men and excelling his expectations to earn an A! I still have many of the items made 25 years ago. I'll see you again one day. I'll look for the cowboy with the brightest smile and the biggest belt buckle! Lol

I've known the Lattings since 1965. Their late daughter Joanne was my best friend. We were in the 5th grade. This family was and is an honorable family. As a hungry 10 year old, they fed me and treated me like one of their own when my family didn't have much. Best wishes and much love, honor and respect to you all. My condolences to my 2nd family. RIP Mr Latting.
