When I heard of the passing of George, I thought about my buddy from many years ago. We were both friends of Bill W. That's when are friendship began. I was worried when he left Minnesota to go back to Chicago. But I seen him when he had 18 years. We had dinner and it was like we never skipped a beat. He was a big hit at my wedding. I will fondly remember when my father in law got the word passed around that when Tom came back to the dining area that we would all yell TOM!! Just like his brother " NORM. My deepest condolences to his wife and his daughter Sally. Rest in peace my brother, you are officially recovered

I was shocked and saddened to read of Tommy's passing. We knew him years ago in Minnesota, and he became a part of our family. What a character and personality he had. Lots of lots of laughs. My condolences to his wife and daughter, Sally. He was over the moon when he became a dad! May he rest in peace forever.

To the Wendt Family,

I am so sorry to hear that Tom is gone. I just found out, and cannot believe it. Maybe because Tom was always so filled with life and always smiling, I feel he will always be here. Last time I saw Tom was two years ago at the Beverly Breast Cancer walk. We hugged and walked together as we tried to catch up with what was going on in our lives. Tom always was glad to see old friends. I will miss him.

To the Wendt family with deepest sympathy,
Tom and I attended the same kindergarden class at Kellogg and my first 4 grades at CK, before my family moved out of Beverly. I bumped into Tom from time to time and always enjoyed reminiscing with him. Tom loved Beverly life, all of his friends and all the families he knew.

Dear Linda, Sally, George, Paul, Kathy, Loretta, Marti, and Nancy -

My prayers are with all of you at this sad time. While Tom may hold the title of World's Slowest Golfer (a fact I never knew) he was by far one of the most generous men I knew when it came to volunteering. He worked with me many days at BCC during the USGA Senior Amateur in 2009. I believe the last time we saw each other was at Lorretta's funeral and I recall how proud he was to introduce me to Linda.

May he rest in peace!

Maureen
