We greatly mourn the loss of a dear friend. Fr Tom reached out to us in November 1983 when he presided at a wake service for Debbie's dad. He is & will always be in our hearts & prayers.

To The Pawelski Family:
Gone is the face we loved so dear,
Silent is the voice we loved to hear.
Too far away for sight or speech
But not too far for thoughts to reach.
Sweet to remember him who was here,
Who, gone away , is just as dear.
You have our deepestest sympathy,
Alan, Donna, Charlie and Jordan August
Arlene's brother ans sister in law and our children.
Tom you are a great guy take care of yourself.

God looked arund his garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth.
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful.
Because he took the best
My heart still sheds secret tears.
This I know will go on for years.....
Our deepest sympathy to the Pawelski Family...if Father Tom is anythng like Tom he was a great man.
May he rest in peace, Mark,Theresa, Austin, Aiden and Rylee August
(Arlene's brother and sister in law and children...future brother in law of Tom.

a second try....I'm grateful to have shared ministry with Father Tom Seitz at STA. He was a truly spiritual, spirited, compassion priest. I was privileged to be in the room for his weekly religion class with my third graders. Each Advent, he would read the book to them..The Mouse and the Manger...It was so beautiful, I've continued to share it with 3rd graders wherever I've ministered.

My mom, Nora Tarpey gave me an Irish “guilt trip”. She told me to always pray for dead priests. Father Burns told how there was nothing deader than a dead priest because when his mom dies no one else is left to pray for him. I have been praying almost daily for good priests! Father Tome Seitz was a good and holy man. I hope that in God’s Kingdom, I will be worthy enough to be a servant in Father Tom Seitz’s house! Gerry Tarpey, River Grove, St Cyprian Church

I knew Fr. Seitz from the time he was at St. Thomas. Especially memorable is his exuberance in working with preparing adults and children for the sacraments, and his administration of Baptism and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil. I remember being told of one little boy in first or second grade: when Sister asked who in the class had been baptized, this one hesitated, and then finally asked, Well, I wasn't baptized by Fr. Seitz: does that count?

Unc-
I will always remember the fact that you were a positive person. It is hard to believe that someone who has been with me my whole life is now gone. You had a rich and interesting life serving the people. While I know that you were a member of our family, it is also true that you belonged to many others over the years and that they thought highly of you. You were a great help to me, La and the rest of the family when we lost Ted and I still remember your homily. I remember too my first baseball mitt, train set and the numerous baseballs you gave to me and Larry when we were growing up. We will all miss you.
Love,
Tom(your namesake)
