I worked with Thomas F. Roeser many years ago at Quaker Oaks. He was a kind and considerate person. I volunteered with him in being involved with teaching and motivating children who lived in the housing units between 22nd and 26th street on State Street . I wish there were more Tom Roeser(s) in the world.

My sincerese condolences to Tom's family. I am deeply saddened by Tom's death and more so that I did not learn of it until today, being unable to pay my final respects. Tom impacted my life in ways few others have. I was one of many of Tom's students at Loyola, in an uncertain era where moral relativism was the vogue. Tom never bought that crap...more so Tom was the advocate to do what was right and moral especially where the poor, weak and defenseless were concerned. Tom Roeser was indeed a great man and his legacy will live on by those of us who choose to relentlessly fight evil in this world. Tuitio Fidei et Obsequium Pauperum
Dominus vobiscum, Tom

Dear Lillian and family, Our prayers are with all of you as you face life without your patriach.
I have known Tom since 1952 when my father Frank Farrington gave him his first job on the St.Cloud,Mn Times. He became a close member of our family and continued to be active in our lives throughout the years.
Dad died last year at 101years old and I am sure Mom and Dad greeted him with open arms in heaven.
"May flights of angels guide thee to thy rest"
Much love and prayers to all of you.

To the Roeser family
I worked with Tom while at Quaker Oats. He was a truly gifted man who loved all things politics. I learned so much from him and enjoyed his spot-on commentary. My sincere condolences to you.

I started to listen to Tom when he was on with Ty Wansley after Ed Vrodoliak was kind of taken off the air. That goes back to '95 or '96. For a long time I would listen to Polical Shootout and then I came across his blog. I would put in comments and he always answered me on my personal e-mail. A little over a year ago we met for lunch in the Walnut Room. It was a delightful time. I will miss his e-mails and his blog very much.
To Mrs Roser, his children and grandchildren, please accept my condolences. May his soul rest in peace

Tom,
There is no doubt that courage was one of your predominant virtues! Add heart, enthusiasm, color, eloquence both in writing and word, fire, a voracious intellect, love of family, and love of the Catholic faith, and you have TOM ROESER! Lil and family: my prayers always for all of you!

My deepest condolences and prayers for Lillian and the Roeser family. Tom was a great friend, counselor and supporter. He was one of the finest men I have ever met in politics. His Christian/Catholic faith was an inspiration and he took the good news of the gospel message to the multitudes! And, the way it is, not in a "mushy moderate" manner. I will sorely miss this giant witty, gruff but sweet man!!

I became a "fan" of Mr. Roeser the first time I saw him on Channel 11. His political knowledge, verbiage, and stage presence turned my viewing into a pleasant learning experience.I will remember him in my Commuinion prayers.

Tom, you were an inspiration to this once young conservative and a friend and mentor to legions who, regardless of their position on the political spectrum, enjoyed a spirited and reasoned discussion of politics and public affairs. Most of all, you were a champion of our Catholic faith and a man deeply devoted to Lillian, the children, and the grandchildren.
I am only one of the multitude who will miss you and feel a profound gratitude for all you’ve done for me and for the people of Chicago, Illinois, and the nation.
Godspeed, old friend. My prayers remain with you and the family.

Tom was my mother,s cousin and a connection to the German farmer,s who settled in buffalo grove. Always enjoyed sharing my efforts at putting together our family tree. I remember many holiday dinners when he would join our extended family in Arlington heights. Lately we would a lunch at the pancake house in park ridge staying away from politics of course. I will miss his sense of humor and his vast interest in the world. Mary Alice off
