Dear Dad, It been a year since your death. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. I'm still trying to understand how you could be here one day and be gone the next. Amy and I celebrated new years in Galena, this morning we ate at a diner that was serving swedish pancakes. I knew I had to eat there, your swedish pancakes were 100 times better no one made them better than you. This year has been crazy!!! with the weddings, buying a new house, and working my fours jobs. Still staying busy, hope you like the wreath I left for you this christmas. Just wanted to thank you for being a good father and helping me out, believe it or not you taught me alot and I hope to pass that down to my son one day. I just want you to know I miss you and I love you dad.

Only heard of Tom's passing this August. We all hung around during our teen years when he lived on Campbell St. in Chicago. Fond memories of good times, Gertie's, and Tom's parents and sister Mary. Tom had just started at Central Steel and Wire.
Tom's dad had a dark burgundy Mercury then ( Tom Jr. always liked the roar of an engine and the squeal of "burning rubber"!)
Condolences to his family.

I read Tom's obituary the other day. I knew him only a little - I worked two summers at Central Steel and Wire in the early 70's, and was his helper. I have remembered him all these years as a great guy, a fun guy, who was nice to me. My sympathies to the family, I hope you can appreciate what an impression he made on me to have lasted all these years. Seens like many people thought he was a great guy.

Tom, Pete and Scott---Please accept my sincerest condolences for the loss of your Dad. I don't think that I ever had a conversation with him that we didn't talk about all of you. Always remember, the most solid truth in Tom's heart was his love for his boys. He was so very proud of the men you grew up to be. I'm so very sorry to hear of his death.

Cousin Tommy always brought smiles & laughter to our cousin get-togethers. Although distance kept us from getting together often, we always picked up right where we left off. I'm so glad we got together this past summer. Tom, Peter & Scott - he talked about you the whole time! He loves you so much! He will be in our hearts forever. Love, Jennifer (Pilafas)Bilitsis & Family Taki, Lea, Dean and Aunt Mary

The phone calls "What's goin' on" or "Hey! What's new" or maybe “Did you hear….”; the honk of your horn in our driveway; the devious little smile when you knew something I didn't. The laugh you gave when I brought the MGB over for the first time; the candy store conversations. The gleem in your eye when we spoke of Tommy, Peter or Scotty. The love you had for being involved in the community; your love for family.
The friendship, the love and the guidance and support, you will truly be missed.
God’s Speed.

Tom, Peter and Scottie,
So sorry to hear about your loss. If there was one thing we remember most about your father, it was how much the three of you meant to him! You didn't speak to your dad without him mentioning one of your names. He loved you all very much! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
