Funeral Friday, September 8, 2006, 9:30 a.m., from the Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 S. Wolf Rd., Mokena, IL, to St. Mary Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery. Dear Sue and Vince and family,
I would like to say on behalf of Don and myself, that your father Tom has made such a big impression on us after knowing him only a very short time. It was so nice for Tom and Don to have each other in that room, and I enjoyed visiting both of them. I have many good memories of a very nice man, with a sharp mind and a humorous personality.
I am proud and blessed to have had the opportunity to know him in his last month, and I asked my sweet son to welcome him home as his "Grandpa."
My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time, but please know that Tom spoke often of you both, and all his family, and I could tell how much he loved all of you.
He was so gracious at his birthday party, and that was a wonderful celebration of a fine man's life.
