Monahan, Thomas F. age 91, WWII Navy Veteran, longtime resident of Beverly, beloved husband of Pauline (nee Vukadin), devoted father of Mary Jean (Joe) O'Malley, Kathy (Kevin) Connor, and Patti (Kurt) Diana, proud grandfather of Laura, Danny, Brian, and Matt Connor, and Mike, Katie, and Carolyn Diana, brother of the late Mary (the late Emmett) O'Connell. Thomas was a 1940 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. Retired President of Sears Bank and First National Bank of Skokie. Funeral Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. from Donnellan Funeral Home, 10525 S. Western Ave., to St. Cajetan Church, Mass 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation Monday, 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Little Company of Mary Hospice. Info 773-238-0075. Sign guest book at www.donnellanfuneralhome.com

Dear Pauline,
I am so sorry to hear of the death of Tom. I worked with Tom for 10 years at Sears Bank and even though he was a tough task master, I always had great respect for him. I remember that if Notre Dame lost their football game on Saturday, it was not going to be a pleasant Monday at the bank. He loved Notre Dame. May God be with you in your time of loss.
