We were so glad we were able to attend the Mass Memorial for Uncle Tom. Everthing was just so beautifully arranged. The special touch of Christmas (Xmas tree and snowman) well described Uncle Tom and his excitement for decorating at this Season. The warm and loving thoughts that Kurtis shared with family and friends showed the Love from all his grandchildren and how much they respected him. The presentation of the Flag to Auntie Lucy by the dressed Marines added the finishing touch to a well deserved American Veteran. I'm sure Uncle Tom was smiling down on us all saying " Thats My Family, I'm so proud of them all. Uncle Tom was my special Uncle . I'm so glad for all the memories I have . We miss you very much. Love Ya.

Auntie Lucy, Sue, Janet, Dale & Tommy ~~

We are so very sorry for your loss. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers during these very hard times. Uncle Tom was a very dear man and there are just not enough words to tell you what he meant to us. He was such a wonderful man, so full of life and laughter. In fact, Ron told me that Uncle Tom was his favorite uncle on our side of the family (and coming from him, that was very hard to say outloud). I just hope that Uncle Tom knew how loved and important he was to all of us. I have such wonderful memories of him that I can't help but smile. Uncle Tom is not suffering anymore and he is now looking over us as an angel. We should continue to celebrate his life and all the love that he showed each and every one of us.

To the family, there is a very special (and short) verse that was written by Henry Ward Beecher that I'd like to share with you:

"What the heart has once owned and had, it shall never lose."

I hope that the care of friends and family bring you comfort and loving memories heal your hearts.

Uncle Tom will never be forgotten nor will he ever leave our hearts.

There is comfort in friendship, hope in prayer, and peace in love.

Until we meet again Uncle Tom, remember we love you.

My heartfelt condolences to the family for the loss of uncle Thomas.

My mother, Jean, regrets that she will not be available to attend the memorial Mass due to various restrictions. Rest assured, however, that she and our whole family will be praying for uncle Thomas. I will be praying the prayer of Divine Mercy for him after 3:00pm today.

Tke care, and "Be not Afraid"...and God bless you all!

Sincerely,

"Rita"
