Dearest Hope, Ben and Adam... our hearts and prayers are with you. We cannot begin to imagine life without Tom but are so grateful to have known and loved him as we know and love you.

He left too soon but he'll never truly be gone. Jacklyn will grow up knowing how incredibly special her Godfather was. Like so many thousands of others, adults and children alike, whose lives he has touched, he will be part of her life forever.

Jacklyn tells me not to cry because, "Uncle Tom is an angel, and will kiss us when we are sleeping and will dry our tears with his wings when we cry..."

We love you all and are here for you always.

Dear Hope,

It breaks my heart to hear this news. I'd reach across the two-thousand miles to give you a great big hug if I could. But I know you're in good hands - your wonderful boys, your colleagues, your friends. You've touched hundreds of students' lives over the last fifteen years and every single one of us is here for you.

I am so grateful - especially now - that we were able to catch up with each other after all these years. Grateful that I can offer you and your family my deepest sympathies not just as a former student, but as your friend.

Dear Hope,

Our hearts go out to you and your family. Tom's ready smile and kind countenance were such a wonderful thing for all of the children and parents whose lives he touched daily. He will be much missed. We are holding you in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Hope and Family,

Joe, Shelby, Dan and I are so shocked. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Tom always waved hello, kept a eye on the kids for me at the park with Sadie, and always had a kind word. He will be missed. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

As educators ourselves, I know he will be missed in his school community too. May he rest in peace.

Sincerely, Lenora Bedore

Dear Hope,

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I was a student of yours at Niles West from 1990 ?1993 and always appreciated the sincerity and kindness you had for all your students. I hope I could provide just a hint of the compassion for you during this time that you consistently provide for those in your life.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sincerely,

Kevin Christophersen

Dear Hope -

You have really helped our family, especially Aimee in the last 3 months, so we can really relate to your tragic loss. We are there for you as you were there for us. As I have to work, Aimee is trying to get a ride to the memorial service. On a plus note, she has been in school 1/2 days and begins full days tomorrow. I know she will really want to talk to you when you are back and feel up to it. Again, we are so sorry for your loss, we know how it feels. Our condolences to your children as well, but with a fantastic mom like you, it will all work out in time.

Sending our love and prayers in this time of need,

The Nickerson Family
