Mrs. Keough, Colleen and Tommy,

I am so incredibly sorry to hear about Mr. Keough. It was so odd because we were driving by our old house, like we always do when we are by the neighborhood and he just so happened to be outside. We sat and talked to him for a little bit.

It was so nice to see him.

I just wanted to let you know that my prayers are with you all.

Vicky,Colleen,Tommy and all of Tom's loving family and friends. My prayers are with you and your family. I just left Tom's wake and all I can say is what a beautiful tribute of love and devotion from so many people. We are all with you, not only today but as you continue to mourn. Vicky I love you and I would do anything for you ( I mean it). As I am writing in this guest book the song from the movie titanic "My heart will go on" starting playing on the radio how appropriate. Vicki,Collen and Tommy,

Nineteen years ago, I first met Tom and we hit it off right from the start. We had everything in common. We loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with friends. We planned our vacations together. We would talk about our Bullhead trip in the fall. And then get ready to start deer season. We caught up on things at least once a week at lunch and compared notes to see if we would be at ACL at the same time.

Then on Tuesday July 1, 2003 we got a chance to do nothing but fish. It was a good day. The fish were active and the weather was nice. We even took a break for lunch at the Cove and Vicki met us for a nice break in the afternoon. It meant so much to me, I was with Tom and Vicki before he left us.

Tom was having a great time at the lake. He was saying how he was going to stay there for his entire furlough and not even go near the city until it was over. He felt great and could not have been less stressed if he tried. Life couldn't have been better!

It's starting to kick in a little that he's gone, but I still don't believe it. I'm just walking around in a state of confusion. Things don't seem clear to me. I know it's going to get worse.

We had a lot of plans for our retirement and it will never be the same. It won't be the same for a lot of Tom's friends. They will miss him like I will.

One thing you can say about Tom, is that he enjoyed himself and did all the things he wanted to do. He just didn't get a chance to finish the rest of the good times.

Vicki, you know how we feel about you and Tommy and Colleen and that we will always be there for you guys. Just say the word and we will be there.

My condolences to you Vicki and your children Colleen and Tom. I first met Tom back in the 80s at the DEA Task Force. Tom was a rock solid undercover Officer with his eye always on the ball. We had many conversations about you the kids and of course fishing. As you know Tom loved being a Police Officer and very proud to be a Homicide Detective.
