Tom was a good friend of my father and was the inspiration for my 33 year career with the Chicago Police Department. He helped me in many ways and was always genuine and gracious.

My deepest condolences to his children, my friends, who have made their parents proud.

I remember Tom when he was Commander of the 13th Police District and I was Director of the West Town Office of the Chicago Commission on Youth Welfare. The West Town Community was plagued by serious unrest at that time which from time to time, erupted into serious challenges to all of us. Tom's leadership and professionalism
were major factors in enabling the community to deal with this unrest. It was a pleasure and honor to work with such a fine public servant as was Tom. May he now rest in God's warm embrace for all of eternity.

To the Frost and Floriano families: I was so sorry to learn of your father's passing. He was a wonderful guy. He and your mom were always so gracious when I stopped by to see them. Once we watched the Rose Bowl together when NW played USC. It was great fun, even though we were pulling for different teams. A charming man, he was a joy to be around. I know you'll miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.

I remember Chief Frost during the years 1966-1978 when I was a reporter for The Chicago Daily News. And, I also remember Barbara when she was a youth officer and later a patrol officer in 018. Tom was a great guy and served his city with dedication. Rest in peace, Tom. -- Barry Felcher, Michigan City, Indiana. NBC5 News - retired.
