My Dearest Brother Tom,
I'm so glad to make it back on-line in time to pay tribute to you!
I've looked up to you my whole life. I will keep with me your smile, positive attitude and words of encouragement that you've shared with me through the years. I'm so grateful to you for all the time we've spent together and all the talks we've had. And I will continue to look up to you, every time I look up at the sky I will think of you, my beloved big brother Tom.

Our hearts are saddened to have our longtime dear friend missing in our lives. His smile, generosity, and good heart are things we take with us as our lives go on.
We were so lucky that Tom came to Ft. Myers last summer and spent a few days with us. He laughed, went swimming in the Gulf, drank beers and walked on the beach. The sunset the night before he went home was the most beautiful one he said he had ever seen.
He knew us before we had our sons and shared our lives and many special family occasions throughout the 30 plus years of our friendship. He gave us many wonderful memories and happy times to rememeber him by.
We want to say how very sorry we are for his family knowing what a wonderful relative they have lost.
Our thoughts are with you now and always.
With deepest sympathy,
Jack, Karen, Mark & David Kowalczyk

My Uncle Tom was the greatest uncle! He was soooo generous and unselfish. You could tell he enjoyed his life and lived every moment to it's fullest. I wish I could be more like him. I am very sad he is gone, and will miss him dearly. Not too sure how we're going to go on without him. I will never forget you, Uncle Tom! I will love you forever!!!
Death can freely
take you
away
from my eyes
and my arms
but away from my heart
....never

Our kindest thoughts and sincere prayers are with all of Tom's family today - especially with Veronica, John and Jacqueline - as you have suffered a great loss with Tom's passing. We met him only a few times but found him such a warm and personable man with an obvious love and dedication for all his family. When Jacqueline was Baptised and he became her Godfather he told me he had been Godfather seven times. Everyone who knew him recognized his great integrity and strength of character. He must surely be enjoying the VERY BEST of the life hereafter. Our love to all the family.

Fred and I are so saddened by the loss of such a wonderful and dear friend. Our friendship goes back some 28 years. We spent some time w/Tom recently and feel so blessed to have had that time w/him. That's how we want to remember him, laughing and drinking a beer with his friends. He will be missed for a long time to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Tom,
I want to say Thank You very much for everything. You are the best!!! I will have many memories with me until the day comes when we can be together. You were not only my Uncle but you were my best friend and you were like a brother to me. No one will ever here anyone say this on the streets of Chicago but from a die-hard Cubs fan I just want to say to a die-hard Sox fan "I LOVE YOU"..

I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to the family of Tom Dilla. He helped us with our move to Florida and for that he will not be forgotten. I just saw him this year when he came to visit his friend and my brother Jack. We had a great visit and for this I am happy. He also came many times to my nephews birthdays and our family gatherings. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed throught the mercy of god rest in peace.
