Dear Dena and family, It was a beautiful Mass yesterday and reminiscing about dear "Uncle Tom" afterwards. Thank you for a day that I will never forget and will now think of your beautiful family as just an amazing accomplishment of Tom and Dena's love, preserverance, and guidance. What a legacy of a life that was well lived. Though he was taken too soon, the "life in his years" we can all learn from. With love, Caryn and Alan Azar

Dena and Family,
I remember Tom would make you feel so welcome with his engaging smile and laughter at family parties. He laughed and we all laughed. He was a life lover and a likeable person. He will be missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Much Love,

During our Calumet High School years, Tom and I were great friends. We shared many a laugh and competed side by side on the school football and swimming teams. Our friendship has continued over the years due to this earlier relationship. I'll miss his friendship.

Marcia and I want to express our sympathy to Dena and the rest of the family. We will cherish the memories of Tom and keep the family in our prayers.

Love to all.

Uncle Tom will always be missed! I have thought of him like my own grandfather since knowing Kevin. He was one the kindest men I know welcoming Andrew and me as if we were his own grandchildren. He was there for me at my Confirmation and many other events. I wish I could have seen him more often but thankfully I got to see him at Thanksgiving when the whole D'Aprile family came together. I wish for the best for the D'Aprile family in these next couple weeks, I wish I could come home and be there.

Love Always,
Emily Norris

Dear Dena and Family, We all have to agree there is only one Tom D'Aprile and we know that he brought an easy smile from you. We heard of his passing today and find it difficult to believe. He was so full of life. It's hard to understand why he was taken from you and your family, but find comfort in knowing that all of you were a special part of a well-lived life. We hold you safe in our hearts at this time of sadness. Our Deepest Sympathy. Dody and Jim Corcoran (Santa Rosa, Calif.)

Dear Mrs. D'Aprile & Boys -
We were so shocked and saddened to hear this news. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Mr. D'Aprile will always be remembered as a "face" of Indian Hills. You simply couldn't have grown up there without knowing him and witnessing his love for his children and grandchildren. His memory will be alive there forever.

We are so sorry to hear of Mr. D'Aprile's death. He always had a smile on his face when we saw him down at the lakefront. And, he was always so proud of all of his children and grandchildren. It showed in his smile. May his goodness live on in your memories. Diane DiVall, Mark Thurow and Family

Dad,

I am writing this with a heavy heart and through my tears. We continue to gather as a close and loving family which was your greatest accomplishment. We are receiving heartfelt condolences from our friends and the overwhelming sentiment that they share with us is what a wonderful, loving person you were. I often hear how welcome they felt in our house and in your presence.

Your sons will always love you for the guidance and unconditional love you gave us. We are going to miss the fun times we always had with you. As we gather at the lake or for family dinners on Sundays there is going to be missing piece because of your absence. It is not fair that we did not have a few more years with you however, I was lucky enough to have 40 wonderful years with you.

Until we meet again.

J.J.
