I knew Tommie Cronin all my life. We grew up together and were only 1 year a part in age. His dad Lt. John Cronin was my father's superior at the Grand Crossing Police Station. During high school I worked at a grocery store , Lt. Cronin would call in his order for me to fill for him. After his shift, he would stop by, pick up the bags, pay the bill and give me a good tip. When Lt Cronin died, Tommie use to visit our home often, have dinner and talk about old times. I have a lot of respect for the Cronin Family. I had lunch with Tommie just 3 months ago at my mother's funeral. We talked and reminisced. Sorry to learn of Tommie's early passing. RIP Tommie, you led a good life.
