Coffey, age 77, of Hinsdale, Captain USMC, Chairman and CEO of Haymarket Public Strategies; member Beverly Country Club, Chicago Yacht Club and Chicago Athletic Association; beloved husband of Mary Alice, nee Butler; loving father of Tom (Debbie) and Matt (Sarah) Coffey and Catherine (Sean) Callahan; cherished grandfather of Danny, Will, Jack, Jimmy, Sadie, Grace and Lilly Coffey and Keegan, Liam and Nora Callahan; dear brother of Kevin (Renee) Coffey, Judy (Jack) Hedquist, Barry (Mary Beth) and Phil (Lori) Coffey; dear uncle of many. Visitation Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. until time of prayers 10:30 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, Hinsdale. Interment Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Alsip. Tom was a true gentleman, a great host ,wonderful company and ready to have a lively debate on any subject.
We always enjoyed meeting him for a round of golf or a pint of Guinness.
