Our sympathy to everyone! We just heard about Tom's death April 10 when we called his home. We are still grieving now, though we knew he was sick. We are delighted to hear that he did not have pain and was making jokes til the end. Pat, Josh and I will miss him!

Our love to all of you!

Dear Brophy Family:

Am most heartbroken over Tom's death. Tom was most generous during his life. Fond memories of sailing and trips to the many harbors with him over the years. I miss his warm friendship. Words can never express how much he added to my life. Just thinking of Tom always made things better.

Sincere best wishes to the entire family.

Most sincere condolences to all the Brophys. Tom was a good friend, kind to me (Jim)in my student days when I spent time in Chicago and to both of us when we visited Chicago last year. He also had great time for "the old country" and we had good times when he came to Ireland to visit, meet relations and see the sights. We're all very sad to hear of his passing and our thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.

I knew Tom thru sailing on Wednesdays (I sailed with Tom Clark on the Ruffian, now the Tomorrow). I had some great conversations with Tom covering some of the most interesting topics. I will miss those.

Dear Brophy Family,

Tom was a fun cousin with quite a sense of humor, even as he courageously battled his cancer. As sick as he was, he came to console and pray with my family during these past few month when his cousin, Grace Roche and her husband, Pat, went to their eternal reward. We feel awful that we will be unable to attend. My husband Tom's sister, Joanne Jones, also finished her battle during this Holy Week. This year's heavenly Easter celebration will have a few more deserving attendees! May God give you strength during this difficult adjustment period. Our prayers are with your family.
