Dear Nancy & family,
What a privilege to have known cousin Tom. His laughter and smile were boundless and always made any family gathering even better! He was one of a kind and is now lighting up heaven. Love, prayers and warm comfort to you in the days to come. Thank you for sharing Tom with all of us.

Dear Nancy and Family,

We are so sad to hear this news but know that he and all of our beloved family members are having a wonderful reunion. You are in our prayers.

Dear Nancy and Family:
My heart goes out to you. I am so sad every time I pass Tom's office knowing that he is no longer with us. I will truly treasure all of the good times and happy memories that we had over the 18 years that we worked together. I know that he will be cheering up in Heaven when the White Sox win the World Series this year.

Dear Bishop Family:
I am so sorry for the loss of Tommy.
I will miss all the fun we had at Certified Grocers. He was a great guy, and the Worlds Greatest Buyer.

To The Bishop Family,

I was sadden to hear of Tom's passing. Jim Risley from Certified informed me.
I had the upmost pleasure of knowing Tom. I worked for Advantage and would go into the office at times. No matter how busy he was, Tom always took the time to acknowledge me and what a great man to deal with also.
All of you must be so proud of this true Gentleman in your lives.
May his memory be eternal.

I would like to share on behalf of myself and especially my mother, Nancy Rue. I know Tom is in Heaven at this moment laughing and catching up on old times with her. I know they were close, in fact during the last plane trip my Mom would ever take she met up with him. It was by far the highlight of her trip. Although my memories of Tom are very scattered, I know he touched many, MANY lives in a huge way. With the wonderful way I can see he is being remembered, I know his abundant life, love, humor and warmth is still alive and well. It's all of those wonderful memories and constant sharing of his life among loved ones that will cause his legacy to breathe on for generations. God Bless Tom as he continues his life on the other side...

Sorry for your loss of your dear dad, husband, grandpa. I only met him twice and could see that he is a treasure in your hearts. I was impressed by his easy smile and good sense of humor even though he was ill.

Nancy, we so enjoyed our time together with you and Tom at the family reunion. Seeing Tom brought back so many good memories of him, our times together, and of previous family gatherings. I know Tom will be greatly missed, but such good memories of him will last in our hearts forever. God bless you and your family and the memories of Tom.

We are so sorry for you loss of Tom. He had a great sense of humor, and was a really nice sensitive man. He will certainly be missed. We have such fond memories with Frank, Jane and all the cousins. We grew up too fast and too far apart. Dick and I were so pleased you could be at the last reunion and we could get acquainted again, that meant a lot.

Dear Bishop Family,
I know you feel that at this moment your loss is great but have faith that Tom is resting in peace and spreading laughter among the angles! I will remember him always for his sense of humor and zest for life. You all are a great family and together you will weather this storm. Although I only had the opportunty to meet Mr. Bishop briefly, I have heard many funny and touching stories about him through his children. Whenever they've talked about "Dad" their faces lit up and they couldn't help but laugh. He has instilled great values and determination in each of them. Mr. Bishop you will be missed by many, but your memory will live on forever.

Tom was a great guy, we were honored to know him and to share our life with him. Our deepest sympathy.

To Nancy and family, My heart is full of sadness for the loss of my beloved cousin, Tom. His sense of humor will forever live in our lives. So many wonderful time spent together as kids will always hold a life time of memories. The last family reunion was such fun and how glad I am that Tom was able to be a part of that wonderful day. Dear Nancy , Kim , Bryan , Amy and Jennifer :

"Coach" , as I always called him , was a man among men and my good friend for over 30 years . Who will ever forget the legend of the blue sneakers and Bryan helping me regift them to "Coach" ? His most famous buying decision was to buy 4 trucks of Halite from me for an April '83 ice storm that never occurred . "Coach" was like a brother to me ; I will miss him more than words can say . Our thoughts and prayers are with you .

To Tom's Family,

May you honor and cherish the beautiful memories, celebrate his gracious spirit and remember a wonderful life. That is how I will remember Tom. Not only was he the Greatest Certified Buyer but a perfect gentleman. Tom implemented many of our Kraft Foods promotions and was so passionate with the Hispanic programs. I am so very sorry to hear of your loss.

I worked for Tom at Certified Grocers for 4 years. Not only was he the "Worlds Greatest Buyer", he was the "Worlds Greatest Boss". I have very fond memories Tom. He truly was a wonderful man.

Tom has touched the lives of so many people, including myself. He was the first buyer I called on at Certified after starting with my company 5 years ago. He taught me so much and always treated me more like his daughter than a vendor. I am lucky to have known him and he will be deeply missed.
