Kay:

John and I send you our love and prayers at this time of great sorrow and loss. We will never forget the support you and Thom gave us in our business. Your ongoing loyalty and presence defined friendship for us in so many ways. We know Thom is with his beloved Brooke, and in that we take some solace. May you find eventual peace with his departure and comfort in the love he provided for his family, his one true compass.

Our prayers are with you. Lonnie and I loved Tom and you so much and we will miss talking to Tom. Remember how much Lonnie and Tom loved their politics and now Lonnie will have to find someone else to talk to about them. God has blessed Tom so much by not making him suffer a long time like Henry had to suffer. I know this is so hard on you and the kids. You may not realize it now but you will realize later how blessed Tom and you have been. I went through many months watching your Uncle Henry suffer and it was hard to see him suffer so much. Our love always, Aunt Frances and Lonnie.

Kay and family, I am so sorry for your loss. It has been a privilege to have known such a kind, generous and gentle man. You are all in my thoughts.

Kay and Family.....Just wanted to give my condolences to you guys Mr. Baird was one of a kind. You guys got it right he was a BIGGO TEDDY BEAR once you got to know him. He Loved and cared for you guys a lifetime and not to forget His Scruffys as well.

I am so sorry for your loss. Thom was kind and extremely generous to me through my time working for you. I will never forget what a huge heart he had. He truly was like a second father to me.

Kay - I just went through the photo gallery and was so touched. Words can't express my sorrow for your loss. Heartfelt condolences to you, Tom Jr and Kelly and the rest of your family.

We were in the first grade class through sixth grade, junior high school, and at graduation in high school. Thom lived down the street from me in Fort Worth and I have many fond memories of our childhood and friendship. I will never forget when Thom got a brand new Morris Minor for graduation and we tried to see how high we could get that car in the air by jumping this railroad track.
It was great seeing him again at the 1960 Graduation Class Luncheons we have at Pulido's.

Thom was well loved by all who got to know him well. I count myself as one of the lucky ones who could say that he was very generious of his time and where with all for the politics he loved so much. Kay was by his side in his many endeavors.

I was lucky to work with all of you at Planning Services for many years and was lucky to get to know the "real" Thom. He was a sweetheart of a man -- A big bear of a man but kind and honest and ethical to the core. He will truly be missed. I am deeply saddened at Thom's passing. As his Respiratory Therapist for several years I grew to know what a wonderful, giving man he was. Quick with humor and a kind word, even when asked to do things he didn't enjoy during his therapy. He was a true Texas gentleman. I am grateful to have known him. My deepest sympathy to the entire Baird family for their loss.

Although I haven't seen Thom in many years, I have always remembered what a good guy he was and it was a pleasure to work with him. My condolences to the entire Baird family.

Tommie was a great friend at W. C. Stripling and Arlington Heights. I can still see him in a Hornets band uniform at Stripling, like it was several weeks ago. My kindest thoughts and prayers are with his family.
