Theodore Tegeler Obituary

Theodore C. TEGELER 88, died Nov. 11, 2004 in Issaquah. Born Dec. 8, 1915 in Centralia, Wa. Ted was preceded in death by his twin brother, Delmar (d. 1952), his wife of 41 years Maxine (d. 1983) and is survived by their children Sally Tegeler Franklin, David C. Tegeler, his wife Carolyn, and their sons Jim Tegeler, Steve Tegeler and Steve's wife Teresa. He is also survived by his wife of 20 years Mary Jane Tegeler; step- children Greg Hogan and his wife Pam, and Dawn Hogan and her husband Hans; and step-grandchildren Shawn, Jamie, Anna, Miranda, and Mike Hogan; and step-greatgrandson Joshua. Ted grew up on Beacon Hill, graduated from Franklin High School in 1934, served in the Navy during WWII and retired from the Bank of California in 1977 after 42 years of service. He was active in the business and civic affairs and held memberships in the Foreign Banking Assn. of Seattle, the Philippine-American Society of Seattle, the Japan-American Society, the Meridies Club, the World Trade Club, the Transportation Club of Seattle, the Rainier Golf and Country Club and Fairwood Golf and Country Club where he enjoyed a life long passion for golf. Ted enjoyed many happy years of retirement. He was surrounded by a loving and caring family and many life long friends. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Memorial to be held on Sunday, Nov 14, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Renton. (425) 255-1511. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
