I am saddended to hear of Ted's death. Ted was the Purchasing Director for several years when I worked as Music Coordinator in the Atlanta Public Schools. He was expert, efficient, truthful and effective. He helped me clean up our purchasing process, making sure that we got quality music equipment for every penny spent. He was fierce with vendors who promised but didn't deliver, and at one point banned a vendor who had shipped over-priced, substandard equipment. I'll never forget that meeting--with me, the vender and Ted meeting, when Ted heard the facts, he dictated a letter to his secretary banning the guy from bidding to APS as we all sat there! Needless to say, we got exactly what we ordered from that point on. He leaves a legacy of intelligence, quality and honor for all of us. My thoughts and prayers are extended to his family.

Sorry to hear about the passing of my formal Director of Purchasing of Fulton County Schools. I was one of the Buyers who retired before he did.
The department made great changes under his leadership.

Ted was a fellow Officer in Arms. Our relationship started in the late 70's when he served as my deputy in Kettering Ohio. He was my number two man,but I know that the Good Lord will always consider him number one. Ted we will miss you, you left too soon, may God blessing be bestowed on your family.

My condolences to the family of Ted. Many years ago I spent considerable time working with this talented man at Fort McPherson and traveling with him to many Army bases. It was a pleasure to work with him. He will be missed.
