Thelma Smith Obituary

Athens - Thelma Cartledge Epps Smith, 86, of Athens, Georgia passed away on February 4, 2006.
She was born November 25, 1919 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia to the late Samuel Groves Cartledge and Mary Isabelle Chandler. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Crawford Epps.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice Arrendale of Buford, and Jean Richardson of Houston, Texas; a son, James Darrell Epps of Abertville, Alabama; grandchildren, Johnny Johnson, Alan Richardson, Leigh Pipitone, Robin Arrendale, Scott Richardson and Laura Grove.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Dial officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Bridges Funeral Home on Monday, February 6, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Bridges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
