I am sorry for the family's loss--and a loss it is. I had the pleasure recently of interviewing Mr. Rys for an article in the Daily Southtown about his WWII experiences and I was mesmerized by his stories and impressed by his intelligence and his engaging personality. He not only served our country honorably, he lived his life that way as a productive member of society who loved his wife and family. I am so very glad to have had the chance to meet him. It enriched my life.
