Taylor Lamke Obituary

Jan. 13, 1998 - April 13, 2006
HAYWARD < Taylor was taken from us this past Thursday due to complications from her five-year battle with leukemia.
Taylor enjoyed school, playing with friends, games, her stuffed animals, puzzles, coloring, movies, video games, play food, and playing mommy to her dolls. But most of all she loved being with her family and making new friends wherever she went.
Taylor will be remembered for her smile, bossy attitude, laugh, strength, courage and always putting everyone's else's needs before her own.
Daddy and Mommy are so very proud to have shared your life with you. Your family will miss you so very much. You will always have a special place in our hearts. We love you very much, princess.
Taylor is survived by her loving parents, Joe and Tammy; brother, Jacob; sister, Rachel; grandma Saundra; gramps Craig and grandma Linda; uncle Mike; cousin Megan; cat Charlie and dog Amber.
Services to be held today at 1:30 p.m. at Chapel Of The Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward. (510) 471-3363.

Dear Joe, Tammy & family. We continue to keep all of your in our prayers. While we only got to know Taylor briefly a few years ago, she made an impact on many lives in our family and in our neighborhood. Those few times that I saw Taylor she always managed to have a smile on her face. What an incredible spirit! My youngest child, Gabriella will always remember Taylor calling her "Ballerina" because she couldn't say Gabriella. Please know we think of Taylor and her memory will always be etched in our hearts and minds.

We were all so blessed to have had the chance to know her during her short time here. Memories of Taylor will continue to live on in our hearts, as we know she is now watching over all of us. Thank you for your wonderful friendship.

Taylor was and is truly an inspiration to me and, undoubtedly, many others. Her strong spirit and love of life always radiated from her, and that's how I will always remember her, smiling and laughing. I have reflected myself about the love that exists between a parent and their child, and I want you to know my heart aches for you. At the same time I know the time you shared with her was wonderful and full of highs and lows and exciting and ordinary days, all the things that life is. Taylor will always be an a light in your eyes and a twinkle within your heart. I take comfort in the knowledge that she is in a wonderful place, truly one of God's angels, still laughing and smiling down on us all. My best wishes to you Tammy, Joe and Jake at this difficult crossroads in your lives. You are in my thoughts and prayers always.

Much love,

Marcie

There is no bond as strong as the one between parent and child. I know Taylor will be with you forever and the memories, both good and not so good, will help soothe the pain you must be feeling. I feel like I know all of you through Leslie and James who have kept me informed of Taylor's long fight. She was a special little girl. May God be with you all.

The Taylor I knew was an artist. A serious and no doubt about how

art should be done...artist! Her pieces with every brush stroke took on life. No spot went unfinished. She knew exactly what colors to use and how to apply them. And what was so wonderful was that all the while she was creating..she was thinking of who would be the recipient of her gift of art. It was one of her ways of showing and sharing...love.

I will miss Taylor's unique personality and the value it brought to my Studio:Art! program.

And still I know there will be times that a part of me will catch a glimpse ...even if fleeting...of her sitting in my class - Thomas on one side and Jacob on the other ...She wearing pink and painting with such perfection.

Love never leaves us...it just finds a way to touch our lives in whatever way it can when we allow it. Taylor will find us. We only need to look and allow.

Bless you, Joe and Tammy for bringing this wonderful soul into our world so that she could touch us and teach us the 'art' of love.

Love and blessings,

Anthony

Joe, Tammy, Jacob & Rachel:

You are in our hearts and prayers. The loss of Taylor is giving up a part of one's self. No amount of preparing one's self can fix the hurt of "it's always too soon". We hope that there is some comfort for you in knowing you gave all the love and care possible that such a sweet and brave little girl could have. She was very lucky to have such a wonderful family.

With Sincere Sympathy,

Dan & Sherry Meneley
