Haas, Sylvia (nee Webber), 89, beloved wife of the late Adolph; loving mother of Pamela (Stuart) Litwin and Marsha (Gary) Dienstag; cherished Mimi of Amy (Mark) Pennington, Shelby Litwin, Jennifer (Alan) Levine, Lindsey (Scott) Toban and the late Lainie Litwin Oldfield; adored great-grandmother of Alex, Andrew, Samantha and Brett; dear sister of the late Phyllis Sherman and Morton Webber; fond aunt of many. Chapel service Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Dear Marsha, Gary, Pam, Stuart and family,
I was so sad to hear about your loss. Your mother, Sylvia, was a very special lady. I have many fond childhood memories of her and her kindness. She was always sweet to everyone and adored 'her girls'. Please accept our deepest and sincere sympathies.

I am so sorry to hear of Sylvia's passing. My grandparents (Rose and Hy Smith) were good friends of hers and Adolph's. Sylvia was my favorite out of all of my grandmother's friends, and I will always remember her warmth, humor and smile. She was a wonderful person and very much like a second grandmother to me. My heart goes out to your family.
