Many heartfelt thanks to Sylvester. You gave so many of us a stage when we needed it most. Your impact on the growth of Chicago comedy cannot be overstated. And the free beer was much appreciated!

This man was almost as important in starting what has become the improv scene in Chicago as Del Close. He was the first person that gave improvisers a place to perform on a regular basis in Chicago outside of Second City. I am sorry that I did not keep in contact with in the passing years. There will always be stories about him and his club.
