Susan McCauley Obituary

McCauley, Susan Marie

Susan Marie McCauley, 71, passed away peacefully in her childhood home in Bensenville, IL on September 15, 2021. Preceded in death by her parents Martin & Huberta McCauley. Cherished mother to Sherri (Mark) Murdza, Kathleen (Matt) Angarone, Dawn (John) Koszala & Theresa McCauley-Thompson. Beloved grandmother to Joey, Hope, Megan, Maggie, Bella, Myles, Morgan, JJ & Anthony. The first person we call is Mom. When we don't understand the insurance bill. When someone says something mean to us. When we need advice on how to care for our kids. When we need someone to tell us it's going to be okay. When we have a question about literally anything. When our hearts are heavy. When we need directions on how to make food. When we need to hear the hard truth. When we are bored. When we're anything, really. The first person we call is Mom. To see what she thinks, to hear what she would do, or just be comforted by the voice of the one who has always been there. She may not have all the answers, but sometimes we don't need the answers. Sometimes we just need our Mom. So, we call. She loved nothing more in her life than her girls and her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Per her wishes, there will be no services.

I was reading the Chicago Sun-Times obituary page today when I came across the wonderful words you had to say about your mother. I didn't know her but the words just touched me. You are correct that we always would go to Mom for answers to anything. Prayers for your family and may your precious mom rest in peace.
