Susan Adlesick Obituary

Adlesick, Susan Age 54, of Antioch, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 23, 1958, in Chicago to John and Elsa (Kajander) Ideboen. Raised in Mt. Prospect, she was a 1976 graduate of Mt. Prospect High School. Susan was accepted into the modeling program at John Robert Powers School, where she later became an instructor. She enjoyed modeling clothing for her mother's dress shop. On July 26, 1980, she married Greg P. Adlesick at the Long Grove Church. They lived in Arlington Heights for eight years before moving to Gurnee, where they lived for 16 years. Most recently, they were residents of Antioch for the past 9 years. In 1991, she began school at College of Lake County for a career in nursing, and graduated in 1993. After graduation, she was employed at the Zion Clinic for two years, then Glenbrook Hospital for four years and St. Therese Hospital for three years. Most recently, she was employed by Vista East for ten years, where she worked as a wound care nurse. She earned the designation of RN-WCC for wound care certification, and served on the board of the National Alliance of Wound Care. A loving wife and mother, her family was always her primary focus in life. Susan also loved animals, especially her dogs, cats, and cockatoo. She enjoyed training her Golden Retrievers. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Greg; two children, Jennifer (Rick) Ramig of Palatine, and Jason Adlesick of Chicago; a cousin, Ron (Holly) Sorensen of Roselle; and her sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Gary) Borchmann of Rockton, and Cheryl (Scott) Deaver of Island Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. The cremation rite will be accorded privately.
