Steven C. Henke, I still think of you and remember all the laughs, notes and kindness you provided. You had the most impact on the type of person I would grow up to be. I know it´s been 14 years since you left us but having you in my life was a blessing, having you at my wedding and meeting my kids was something I will always hold on to. You helped make me a better person and we´re there for me when life was bright and when it got dark.
I remember caring for your mom as a patient in the hospital and being there the night she was drifting away. I like to think you are in a great place with your loved ones and we will meet again one day. Sometimes I feel like I never got to tell you all the things I wanted to. You will always be one of the most influential people in my life and my heart will always love you for always being there for me.
You might be gone but you will never be forgotten. Our friendship started 34 years ago and will live on forever.

Mr.Henke will be deeply missed, he was the greatest teacher of all time! I had him for Biology and I would often cut boring classes just to stop by and say Hi to him in the attendence office. He always looked out for our best interest as students. He was a great guy! He always made me laugh and smile. Even after graduation I would go visit him in the attendence office, just because he was my favorite teacher and was KENNEDYS G.O.A.T ( greatest of all time) He made an impact on pretty much the entire class of '04 and probably many more. He had a way with Us students that made us pay attention and we respected him truely. He will be deeply missed and no one can ever compare to what a great teacher he was. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING HENKE *KRISTINE ROLLAND* c/o 04

Steve reminded me of John Candy. Fun, sweet, gentle, polite, and always interesting. Graduating from the 'kid's table' into the dining room w/ the adults at Grandma's house was a big moment for us cousins. I have nothing but wonderful memories of Steve when we were kids and as we grew up. He's now safely home at the Big Table. God Bless you Butch, Bonnie, & Family. Hugs, Dona

Steve was always good for interesting conversation and a lot of laughs. As a fellow teacher, I am sure his personality had a great influence on the many student who were fortunate enough to be in one of his classes. We will never know in this life all the many students whose lives were made better by him.

I didn't think you stopped by to say good bye on saturday the 23 at the range. You were just out shopping. We'll have to make a new lunch date and I hope it won't be soon. Now I wish we could have talked a lot longer. I'll miss you Steve-o.

Steve was truely one of my best freinds. I certainly will miss our daily phone conversations. We were both certain we had all the answers as to how to make the world a better place. I know he's now with his Mom and Dad and still annalyzing what's wrong with and how to fix the injustices in the world. Hang in there buddy we will be together again some day.

I met Steve at Kennedy and instantly loved him for his sense of humor and making me feel special. His notes he wrote to me are classics as are his choice of certain books. I will greatly miss him since there could be only one Steve.

Steven and I started our teaching careers together at Farragut HS in the 1970's and both then wound up at Englewood HS in the early 1980's. Finally we were at Kennedy together. Steve had a brilliant sense of humor. I will remember some of my heartiest laughs being with him. He was a gentle man.
