Baum, Stephen Lowell 70, beloved husband of Elayne (nee Goldstein) for 48 magical years; loving father of Brandee (Adam) Nahmias, Robby (Debra) Baum and Rebekah (Ilan) Shalit; adored Zayde of Max, Abe, Shep and Ruby Nahmias, Leo, Ava and Cooper Baum and Rafiel Shalit; devoted son of the late Abe and Rena Baum; treasured brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and Majestic friend of many. Stephen was an extraordinary renaissance man with a great zest for life, who had unbridled interests. He was a brilliant advocate and devoted family man. Funeral service Sunday 11 AM at Moriah Congregation, 200 Taub Drive, Deerfield, IL 60015. Interment Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stephen's memory to the LUNGevity Foundation, Moriah Congregation, Camp Ramah in Wisconsin, Solomon Schechter Day School and Chicago Hadassah.
